Holes by Louis Sachar Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake, which is no summer camp and there is no lake, for a crime he didn't commit. He must dig holes all summer to pay his debt to society, yet something fishy in the air. Stanley doesn't believe the warden's explanation that hard physical labor is the remedy to juvenile delinquency. Something else is going on at Camp Green Lake!
